Please Consider Attending Tonight

Roger Neustadt will be speaking at the Board of Education business meeting tonight. In light of the recent events at the middle school, it is vital that the District Administration be made aware that parents will not idly sit by while their children are endangered by a failure to adequately prepare Scarsdale’s schools and staff to protect our children. Based on the two actual lock downs this school year, we cannot expect our children to receive police assistance for at least 15 minutes after an incident begins. This is unacceptable. While we understand this is very short notice, please consider attending the Board of Education meeting tonight.

The meeting begins at 7:30 pm. The two times reserved for public comment can occur at any time but are often about 1 hour into the meeting and again at a later time. Please consider speaking, even if just a sentence or two, and let our leaders know how you feel. We understand that this is an inconvenience and would not ask if we did not feel it important. If you can make it, thank you for your help and if not, we will do our best to provide earlier notification in the future.
